travel north america united states of america alaska juneau national shrine of st terese shrine chapel
This simple yet very beautiful little chapel is made from beach stone gathered by volunteers from around the island on which it sets.
It is surrounded by large trees and trails that lead you around the island... some to stations of the cross.
Their web site says that the corner stone was placed in 1938.
We were by ourselves for a good deal of our daytime visit and we found it beautiful and peaceful.
